Mr. Basmacıoğlu:

“In addition to major musical forms such as a symphony or a sonata, great composers have also created works that can be called as miniatures, some of which consist of a few pages or even a few lines. While using common titles such as bagatelle, prelude, intermezzo in some of the works, some of them were also given names that describe the narrative of the work such as “And the moon is sinking over the temple that no longer exists”. In my concert program, I aim to focus on the journey of the very form throughout history by performing examples of works composed as miniatures by composers from different periods and geographies such as Beethoven, Debussy and Alnar.”
